E-Motion.

Energy motion.
I prefer "energy motion" or "e-motion" over the designation "abstract". My process of construction comes from pushing emotions out onto canvas and paper, where colors flow, transform, and, if necessary, heal. These paintings begin with emotion treated as a physical substance: something that needs to move, to be pushed out and given form. The process IS energy, the process IS motion. Nothing about lived experience is abstract; abstraction is a mental construct imposed afterward. So I prefer "energy motion" — e-motion — because that is what the process actually is. The making is not separate from the meaning. The motion is the point.
