An extension of the E-Motion works, and quieter. These are soft oils on paper, built up in layers and finished by hand, with direct contact between finger and surface which produces the smooth, atmospheric texture that defines them. Finger paintings.

They are not quite landscapes and not quite abstractions. They are atmospheric in the way that weather is atmospheric, or the way a planet seen through a telescope is atmospheric: something looked at from a distance that nevertheless feels close, interior, inhabited. Color moves through it the way light moves through a medium it cannot quite escape.
